Feel the pain of Kris Boyd

KRIS BOYD is hurting, hurting badly.

Three years ago he was setting up a move to Ibrox where he’d team up with Kenny Miller and have the SPFL trophy delivered to Ibrox.

This morning there are two numbers in his head 6 and 10. Another number, 215,000 with a pound sign at the front might be causing some grief but today it’s 6 and 10. Have no doubt about it, even in pockets of darkest Ayrshire those numbers are causing alarm.

As he attempts to portray himself as a deep thinking pundit sometimes Boys can’t let go of the past. Some of his neighbours probably feel that they live in the late seventeenth century, others will years back to the EBT days of Sir David, lording it over the tims as proof was provided that they are indeed the people.

Meanwhile in the real world the most exciting team that Scotland has thrown up in more than a decade is heading through to Edinburgh to win the title. Not only are they unbeaten but they’ve achieved the feat without having to rob Her Majesty.

Every tainted trophy and medial in Boyd’s cabinet was won at a horrific cost to the nation, Her Majesty went without, soldiers, pensioners and schools missed out to deliver a sense of superiority to Boyd’s people.

Feeling the pain of another Celtic title party Boyd decided to share the hope that makes his life worthwhile- Brendan Rodgers is off to Arsenal and he’s taking Kieran Tierney, Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong with him! As a consolation Hoopy Hound, Paul the Tim and big John Fallon won’t be moving to The Emirates.

Sharing his fantasy with Sun readers Boydy reveals: “What if Arsene Wenger leaves Arsenal this summer and the London giants come calling for the Celtic boss?

Does anyone think he’s going to think twice about walking away?

Rodgers would be on the first shuttle to Heathrow and quite rightly so.

Then where would Celtic be? I’ll tell you. Peter Lawwell would have a queue of players at his door, all asking away.

It’s all hypothetical, sure it is. And I’m sure there will be Celtic fans reading this saying I’m desperate for it to happen but I’m just saying how it is.

Celtic are worthy title winners this season and far and away the best team in the country, but things can change in the blink of an eye in football.

Moussa Dembele could soon be on his way, whether Rodgers is the manager or not.

Kieran Tierney has a different club looking at him every other week.

Now Stuart Armstrong is an international player who is certain to attract big interest.

Lose three players like that and suddenly Celtic’s squad doesn’t look so strong.”

If Arsene Wenger leaves Arsenal the London also rans are most likely to turn to the power-point genius and know all that is Pedro Caixinha with Mark Warburton drafted in to head up the club’s academy structure.

As first team coach Brother Pedro will turn to the world’s greatest ever goalscorer, a man with one goal against Celtic in his entire career which is one more than his tally in the Champions League.

Today is April 2, share Boyd’s pain.
