Wesley Foderingham is out of the Sevco side to face Celtic on Sunday.

According to a report in The Sun, Brother Pedro’s first choice keeper was crocked in training today with Jak Alnwick handed his first team debut.

The one time Newcastle keeper was snapped up from League One strugglers Port Vale during the January transfer window after Matt Gilks was shipped out to Wigan.

Foderingham has been one of the Ibrox side’s top performers this season and put in a decent performance in last month’s derby draw at Celtic Park.

The full extent of Foderingham’s injury has still to be established but after social media rumours early this evening The Sun has stood the story up.

Alnwick’s last first team appearance was at the end of January picking the ball out the back of the net three times in a 3-2 defeat at Scunthorpe. He hasn’t played in either of the last two Development League matches.

In last week’s Development League match against Celtic Robbie McCrorie was in goals for the 4-0 defeat at Cappielow, he’ll now be promoted onto the bench at Hampden.
