Doubts have been raised about whether Sevco have been given a licence to play in the Europa League approved by the SFA.

Two different documents have appeared on like with one stating that the licence application is N/A while another has it GRANTED.

What the actually means is difficult to work out but does suggest that questions are being asked after the 2011 licence was granted despite the club owing HMRC £2.8m from the Wee Tax Case.

In the first document the applications from Kilmarnock and Hamilton have been declined while the second document has the Inverness Caley Thistle application DECLINED.

With the top two clubs competing in the Scottish Cup final the remaining two Europa League places will go to the two highest placed compliant teams in the Premiership.

If the Sevco licence is refused St Johnstone look certainties for one place leaving the fourth place to be competed for between Partick Thistle and Hearts.

Thistle are currently trailing the Edinburgh side by four points making tomorrow’s clash between the sides a six pointer with a Europa League spot at stake.

Neither Sevco or the SFA have commented on the licence updates.
