The midfielders absence from the Rotherham team sheet continued against Wigan with his last appearance coming as a 13 minute substitute on January 28.
It seemed like the perfect opportunity for Allan when he got the chance to work again with Alan Stubbs but that ended quickly with Kenny Jackett lasting a month before Paul Warne was appointed.
Rotherham were the first club in England to be relegated with Allan due back at Celtic without his career having advanced. Like Ciftci and Janko he has another two years on his contract. Four starting appearances in The Championship.
