Brendan Rodgers has his Celtic squad primed for today’s noon derby clash.

The hoops head to Hampden knowing that they have it all to do to reach the final of the Scottish Cup.

Last week’s events at Dingwall was a timely reminder if the obstacles that can crop up in the most unlikely surroundings.

The warning signs have been posted for Hampden if the bhoys want to return next month to go for the treble against Aberdeen.

Hampden hasn’t been the happiest of hunting grounds in recent times for the bhoys but Rodgers has confidence that the Team of 17 can come up with the goods.

I enjoy these occasions,” he told the Celtic website. “I’ve been to Hampden twice now and in both games we performed well. We arrive into the game in a really good moment, and we know what we want to achieve.

Obviously, this is a game that we want to get through to take us a game closer to where we set out to be at the start of the season.

We prepare the same regardless of the opponent. When you’re fighting for titles and trophies, these games can take on a greater aspect, but the players have dealt with it throughout the season very well.

The motivation and commitment of the players is there and it’s the same idea this weekend. If we go and perform the way we know we can then we’ll give ourselves a great chance. If we can do that, then we hope to get the result.”

Rodgers has a number of key positions to decide on after rotating his squad in recent weeks but goes to Hampden without any injury problems.
