Celtic’s impressive u-17 side enjoyed another emphatic win when they crushed Fife Elite 7-0 at Barrowfield this morning.

Kerr McInroy and Ewan Henderson scored doubles with the other goals coming from Max Potter, Tom Caffrey and Kieran McGrath.

Keeping upto date with the league table generally involves a fair bit of detective work but at the last count Celtic were on 45 points with four games in hand over leaders Sevco who have 51 points.

The backbone of the side has been a highly impressive defensive unit featuring Stephen Welsh (who was injured today), Robbie Deas and Dan Church who are all in the Scotland u-17 set up, they must have a decent right-back to keep Potter out the side.

Winning the u-17 league provides entry to the u-19 UEFA Youth League but entry can also be gained by the first team reaching the group phase of the Champions League.

CELTIC v Fife Elite: McAdams (Rae); Potter, Duffy, Deas, Church (Kerr); Campbell, McInroy (Robertson), Henderson (Kennedy); Marku, Caffrey, McGrath (Savoury)
