Celtic’s u-14 side have won the Marc Overmars Tournament in Amsterdam with a 2-1 victory over Ajax in the final.

The young hoops, featuring Karamoko Dembele impressed throughout the weekend with wins over SV Epe, FC Tokyo and Anderlecht before beating the hosts in the final.

Dembele was included in the team of the tournament with his performances a reminder to the various clubs already tracking his progress.

The 14-year-old has played international football for Scotland and England this season and hit the headlines in September with a brief appearance for Celtic in the Development League.

Celtic face a major task to hold on to Dembele with clubs from England and the continent ready to pay the player and his family a fortune to move elsewhere.

While the Marc Overmars trophy travels to Glasgow the club’s u-17 side have their own local silverware in mind on Thursday night when they face Sevco in the final of the Glasgow Cup at Firhill with the match being shown live on STV Glasgow, kick off at 7pm.
