Don Robertson will be back blowing a whistle this weekend for the first time since his horror display at the Ross County v Celtic match last month.

Dumbarton and Falkirk fans will be keeping a close eye out for any acts of simulation when their sides meet at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium on Saturday.

After his nightmare in Dingwall Robertson was an additional assistant at Celtic’s 2-0 Scottish Cup win over Sevco but left out of the fixture rota last weekend.

Robertson had enjoyed a reasonably uneventful appointment until the closing minutes when he awarded Ross County a penalty when Alex Schalk dived without any contact from a Celtic player.

In stoppage time Robertson ordered off Scott Brown with that decision overturned on appeal while Schalk accepted a two match suspension for diving.

Nick Walsh will referee Celtic’s home match against St Johnstone with Willie Collum in the middle for the Hearts v Aberdeen match.
