With the treble secured and their places in history assured Celtic’s players turned to twitter to share their enjoyment of the 2-1 Scottish Cup Final win over Aberdeen.
The popular social media network was alive with goodwill as the players celebrated 47 domestic games unbeaten that saw them pick up three trophies and create thousands of memories.
In less than 12 months the pride has been restored in Celtic with a young group of players providing the brand of exciting winning football that the fans identify with.
With every tweet monitored players have to be very careful with what they publish but on the back of a treble win there is little in the way of controversy for them to avoid.
Sharing those special moments is what it was all about with an insight into the post match dressing room scenes as the enormity of this season’s achievements began to sink in.
Forty three wins and four draws over 47 domestic matches is an incredible achievement- in most recent seasons Aberdeen could have expected a trophy but have only three runners-up tags for their efforts.
In six weeks time it will all kick off again, the Champions League group stage will be the initial target but whatever may happen the team of 2016/17 will be remembered and revered among the greatest that the club has ever produced.

He never grew up supporting Celtic but like his Edinburgh driving partner Craig Gordon has found a welcome home in the east end of Glasgow that has allowed him to expand his trophy collecting with three SPFL winners medals plus two League Cups and now one Scottish Cup winners medal.

It takes more than a cowardly swing of the arm to hold down the bhoy from Wishaw.
“It’s hard to put into words… this is an amazing feeling.” Hear from the man who won @celticfc the Scottish Cup, Tom Rogic. #UNRIVALLED pic.twitter.com/BQ52NaxyUA

What a way to end the season, he never quite recaptured his pre Christmas form but that late run and finish has put Tom Rogic boldly in the record books as Celtic fans worlwide salute our favourite Aussie.
Will just leave this here. #treble #INVINCIBLE #finally ???????????? pic.twitter.com/8jac7W7Rvt

His set pieces are normally deadly- yesterday he lost Jonny Hayes to gift Aberdeen the opener but battled and scrapped his way through the game as support midfielders Armstrong and Griffiths delivered the goods.
Winning the trophies is a proof of the good work of the whole team! It’s always there and nobody can take it away! @celticfc pic.twitter.com/ejfUOOwxsW

It’s been a funny old season for the bhoy from Croatia.
A day trip to Turin late in the transfer window turned out to be fruitless, as compensation he picked up a Scottish treble and earned a place in the heart of the support with a 50-50 that Kenny Miller will never forget.

Nothing ruffles the great Dane, after Tom Rogic scored Sviatchenko was introduced to play his part in the post match celebrations.

It wasn’t his day around goal but he stuck to his task, pushed and probed at the Aberdeen defence and played his part in full without finding the net.
Undefeated, InVIncible, Untouchable. Kings of Scotland, what a season we had, hope you all enjoy ! @celticfc #Tr3bleWinners #Dembelition ????????????

No one will forget the role that the 20 year old French striker played in Celtic’s treble success.
He made the substitutes bench at Hampden to complete the season with a full collection of winners medals.

It’s the soap opera that will dominate the summer, will we get to see Paddy back in a Celtic shirt.
Wherever his career takes him he’s bound to be back at Celtic on a regular basis reliving 18 contrasting months and reliving how he picked up four winners medals.

The Prawn Sandwich CSC may not be Roy Keane’s favourites but they do enjoy the sweet smells of success.
