For the 37th time Celtic lifted the Scottish Cup.

Throughout 129 seasons the Cup has been a good friend of the club as they revel in the never say die spirit that has driven on so many unlikely successes.

After winning the Betfred Cup in the autumn the Premiership was done and dusted by new year with just one draw blotting the copybook.

From Albion Rovers through to Sevco the attitude in the Scottish Cup has been spot on with nothing left to rest.

At Hampden history beckoned in the 47th domestic fixture of the season. Aberdeen threatened when Jonny Hayes opened the scoring but Stuart Armstrong quickly equalised.

The loss of Kieran Tierney was a blow but this Celtic side wasn’t to be denied, it wasn’t silky football but they were relentless as Aberdeen’s early energy sapped away.

Celtic pushed and pushed, backed and roared on by the fans until Tom Rogic delivered the goal that will be celebrated throughout the summer and beyond.

For only the fourth time all three domestic trophies are housed at Celtic Park, it’ll take a big effort from someone to topple the hoops as Brendan Rodgers plans ahead for further successes.
