Eight days after losing 5-1 at home to Celtic in one of the most spineless performances ever seen at Ibrox the same group of players were treated as heroes for beating their Glasgow neighbours who had clinched a top six finish for the first time since the SPL introduced a split in 2000.
This week Pedro Caixinha has the difficult task of telling some of the players involved that they won’t be part of his revolution. Unless clubs can be found to match or better their current salaries some of the Firhill Heroes are likely to be hanging around on the wage-bill longer than the fifth best coach in Qatar.
