At the age of 37 it seems that Kenny Miller is starting to struggle as he hauls his old bones around the pitch.
There were plenty of moments to savour for Celtic fans during Saturday’s latest demolition derby with one incident midway through the first half leaving an impression that no one who witnessed it will ever forget.
As the ball broke 40 yards from goal Miller fancied his chances of causing some damage, Jozo Simunovic saw a loose ball that he had to win.
We’re told that an ‘Old Firm clash’ is about who wants to win it most and dozens of other cliches.
Jozo wasn’t going to lose out to a man almost twice his age and half his weight.
He times the tackle perfectly and Miller didn’t fancy it one little bit.
“I was trying to get out the way of it,” Miller bleated to the Daily Record. We know you were Kenny.
“If I decided to ride it, there was the potential to be hurt. I appreciate he did play the ball, but what’s the term used now – ‘excessive force’? There was definitely excessive force in that.”

Your team-mates could do with some excessive force Kenny. Not the sneaky, cowardly force that Joe Garner brings to the party but some Croatian steel.
After that incident Miller kept himself a good distance away from Simunovic.
Tackling is a dying art but when delivered correctly it is a work of art. Jim Brogan, Bertie Auld, Davie Hay, Roy Aitken and others have been exponents down the years.
If he ever plucks up the courage to watch the incident again Miller might look at the haste he showed to get out of the way of Simunovic’s challenge for the ball. Low with his eye on the ball and executed with one foot.
As he launched himself into the air , flipped his legs over and landed on his back Miller might reconsider his decision to sign up for another season of this suffering.
If he plans on showing up next season he should bear that challenge in mind because if he wants to play against the young team Jozo’s Gonae Get You.
