Sevco fans shame

Sevco fans were again at the centre of trouble today with a mini pitch invasion to celebrate a stoppage time win over Partick Thistle.

Last weekend it was the usual menu of anti-catholic singing mixed in with racist gestures, one fan trying to attack Scott Brown and a range of missiles including a battery thrown at Celtic players.

Incredibly some newspapers carried a claim that the actions were the result of goading by the celebrations of Celtic scorers.

Today’s match was televised live by BT Sport with Thistle going into a first half lead through Chris Doohan.

An equaliser from Barrie McKay set up a grandstand finish with Joe Garner’s winning header greeted with scenes of joy not seen since Clint Hill scored against Celtic in March to secure the most celebrated point of the season.

Having turned a deaf ear to The Billy Boys being sung at virtually every match this season it’s unlikely that the SPFL will take any action over today’s pitch invasion.
