Sevco’s agent bill

Cash strapped Sevco paid out an incredible £556,800 in agent fees to assemble the squad that Pedro Caixinha is trying to take apart!

The information was released in a report issued by the SFA that gives a figure for the money paid out to the Mr Fixit’s involved in transfer deals.

The report lists one agent for each transfer but many contracts involve a couple of agents with some managers having preferred agents that they deal through.

While Sevco shelled out over half a million in effect to get a couple of games out of Clint Hill Celtic spent less than a million on agents for the 60 plus goal contribution from Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele with the exact figure being £877,321.

In contrast to the generosity at Ibrox Aberdeen paid out £77,140 in agent fees and finished the season nine points above Sevco and in two cup finals.

The report covers the period from 2/2/2016 to 31/1/2017 when Mark Warburton was putting together a squad to #gofor55.

The report lists each agent and the contract that they brokered with Will Salthouse the man behind the deal that brought Joey Garner to Ibrox.
