Chris Sutton wasn’t slow to react to Aberdeen’s win over Sevco at Ibrox.
On Friday night Sutton watched the Dons almost salvage a point against Celtic after giving the six times champions an early three goal lead.
Throughout the season, as their league place demonstrates, Aberdeen have been a model of consistency with last night’s win taking them nine points ahead of the tribute act.
.@btsportfootball Don’t know about Aberdeens cycle coming to an end… Maybe more like Pedro and Rangers need stabilisers…

Despite the likelihood of losing a couple of key players in the summer the possible arrival of Shaun Maloney and others should ensure that Aberdeen continue to mount a challenge to Celtic.
While McInnes operates from a position of strength Pedro Caixinha faces a nightmare time over the summer weeks as he attempts to live up to his arrogant boasts.
As Mark Warburton found out in January there is no interest in his squad of failures with Dave King’s war-chest firmly out of range.
With a Europa League qualifier on June 29 Caixinha better find some stabilisers or else he might get receive an email informing him of his resignation.
