Poor old Gilly has had enough.

Convinced throughout his life that he was part of some superior breed the chance to enjoy a blazer was too good to miss.

As a right good blue nose he knew the thinking of supporters and the great traditions that are unspoken of at Ibrox.

Last night John ‘WATP’ Gilligan walked away.

While dozens of reasons are put forward for that decision according to one leading website the former Tennents high flyer felt duped.

According to the John James website Gilly told friends: ā€œIā€™m sick of nothing getting done and King going missing plus no investment. Me and Murray are the fall guys for King.ā€

Gilly and Paul Murray were arm in arm with the South African based criminal when he swept to power in March 2015 promising accountability and transparency.

This season King has attended one match played by his beloved club, as he watched Celtic win 5-1 at Ibrox last month the kitchen got too hot with Gilly involved in an angry confrontation with a non-blazer.

As the invoices pile up alongside the demands of supporters and the expectations of Brother Pedro it promises to be a summer of turmoil inside the Blue Room of dignity.

Dozens of issues are coming to a head ranging from matters with Sports Direct, a UEFA licence, the ground safety certificate and the Takeover Appeal Board verdict on King.

As he walks away attention will switch more onto King as the gullible begin to tot up the broken promises made by one of their own.
