Twenty-eight years after the Hillsborough tragedy six people will face criminal charges including two leading policemen.

David Duckenfield, the policeman responsible for safety at the stadium has been charged with manslaughter while senior policeman Sir Norman Bettison has been charged with misconduct.

Initially the tragedy was blamed on the Liverpool fans but a long campaign from survivors and families effected by the disaster has finally brought an element of justice.

Since 1989 various police officers and politicians have got off scot-free from their role in the disaster, the aftermath and the cover up.

Liverpool Football Club stuck with their fans throughout as the Justice campaign looked for answers while the majority of the country stuck with the accepted ‘THE TRUTH’ article put out by Kelvin McKenzie of The Sun.

Despite all that the campaign gradually worked away at the cover up to expose major failings by the South Yorkshire Police in their preparations for the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, their reactions to the developing tragedy and the investigation.
