Just over a week ago Rod was the headline act at the Hydro as Celtic celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions.
The entertainer has made it to a number of hoops matches this season despite his international commitments.
Increasingly his social media content is Celtic related with the achievements of Brendan Rodgers’ side being celebrated at every opportunity.
The Lisbon Lions have had a special place in Stewart’s heart since he became pally with Jimmy Johnstone and Bobby Lennox in the early seventies.
Despite the downturn in Celtic’s fortunes in the early nineties he stuck by the club and opened the North Stand in 1995 as the new look Celtic Park was put together.
As well as regularly attending matches the singer has turned up at supporters clubs across the world to watch matches with Celtic themes regularly running through his concerts.
