Sevco have managed to ditch Joe Garner to Ipswich Town.

The ten goal striker was signed in August after drawn out negotiations with Preston North End in a deal supposedly worth £1.8m.

Last night Sevco and Ipswich both played the undisclosed transfer fee card as another brief Ibrox career came to a halt.

Garner should have got his Sevco career off to a good start when he scored the consolation goal in the 5-1 defeat from Celtic in September but by the end of January he had only managed three goals as Mark Warburton ‘resigned’.

Under Graeme Murty the goals started to flow including a Scottish Cup hat-trick against Hamilton Accies after getting away with just a yellow card for a brutal waist high tackle on Dougie Imrie.

Under Pedro Caixinha the former Preston striker scored twice in the last three games of the season with his injury-time winner away to Partick Thistle one of the most celebrated goals of the season.
