Tom Rogic added to his growing international reputation with an impressive, scoring performance as Australia lost 3-2 to Germany at the Confederations Cup in Russia.

Fresh from his Scottish Cup winning goal against Aberdeen the Celtic midfielder was back on the score-sheet with a 20 yard equaliser for the Socceroos at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi.

Before the break Julian Draxler restored Germany’s lead from the penalty spot with Leon Goretzka putting them 3-1 in front in the 48th minute.

Rogic had a role in Australia’s second goal when his shot was parried into the path of Tomi Juric whose effort stood despite an appeal to the Video Assistant

After 71 minutes Rogic was substituted by James Troisi with Thursday’s match against Cameroon a must win clash after the African’s lost their opening match to Chile.
