Celtic are prepared to listen to offers for Cristian Gamboa.

The Costa Rican joined the hoops for £1m from West Brom in August and started 16 matches as Celtic won the treble.

Brendan Rodgers has no complaints about Gamboa but wants to push Anthony Ralston into the first team squad as back up for Mikael Lustig.

Ralston is currently in France with the Scotland u-20 squad and was praised by Rodgers after starting the end of season match against St Johnstone.

The Irishman is keen to bring through homegrown players and believes that 18-year-old Ralston can quickly make a first team impact.

Gamboa barely got a look in at West Brom under Tony Pulis but has settled quickly in Glasgow where his pace and ability to get up and down the right hand side has made a favourable impression.

With Lustig as first choice right-back Celtic are prepared to let Gamboa leave for the same £1m fee that they paid for him in August.

Rodgers is looking to bring in two or three quality signings during the transfer window with the Irishman confident that there is much more to come from the current squad.
