The official SPFL website has named just five Celtic players in their Premiership Team of the Year!
Selected by Craig Fowler there is no place for Craig Gordon, Mikael Lustig or Patrick Roberts in the chosen XI.
Celtic’s starting XI at Hampden with Moussa Dembele in for Leigh Griffiths would be a decent starting point for any team of the year but Joe Lewis, Shay Logan, Liam Lindsay, Joe Shaughnessy Jonny Hayes and Liam Boyce all earn a place in the SPFL side.

Having completed the season unbeaten with a record points total for a 38 game season it’s difficult to see what more the omitted Celtic players could have done to get into the select side.
Gordon reinvented his game to get back into favour with Brendan Rodgers while Lustig excelled in almost every game domestically, played a lead role in the Goal of the Season away to St Johnstone before scoring an incredible derby goal at Ibrox.
While the Celtic support were saluting their treble heroes the SPFL have decided on the following XI as their team of the season.
Joe Lewis; Shay Logan, Joe Shaughnessy, Liam Lindsay, Kieran Tierney; Jonny Hayes, Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong, Scott Sinclair; Liam Boyce, Moussa Dembele.
