Ronny Deila has told the brutal truths that no one else in Scotland dare mention- it was King’ fault that went into liquidation.

The Norwegian only spent two years in Scottish football but refused to buy into the great deceptions about how poor Rangers were forced into the bottom tier of Scottish football.

For a decade King sat on his hands as Dave Murray cheated taking Rangers to the edge financially.

When Lloyds Bank started to get nervy about the club’s financing King stayed in South Africa as Craig pulled a pound coin from his pocket.

Within a year Rangers were dead with Celtic taking advantage of a level playing field to deliver six successive title.

Paying tax and living within your means still seems an alien concept but Deila lived by those rules and refused to cheat Her Majesty to reach the group phase of the Champions League.

Responding to King’s two-in-a-row claim Deila told The Sun: “That’s a stupid thing for him to say. It’s not Celtic’s fault that they were out of the league. Rangers ruined themselves by spending money they didn’t have.

Celtic have won six titles in a row. Nobody can say anything different. The fact is, we won those trophies and you can’t ever change that.

To say it’s only two titles in a row because Rangers were out of the league is WRONG.

Scottish football didn’t stop for four years. There were other good teams in the league and we had to beat them.

’s team did that for two seasons and then my players did the same. We were the best in Scotland.

I will always be proud of those titles that I won at Celtic and nothing anyone else says can take them away from me.

During a tax trial in South Africa a judge described King as a glib and shameless liar, the policeman’s son from Castlemilk forked out £19m to avoid 82 years in Robben Island.

Under King have won the 2016 SPFL Challenge Cup.
