Even by his own double standards Dave King has performed a rapid u-turn over his two-in-a-row comments.
King’s entire life has been spent telling whatever lies suited him at the time, whether it’s in tax returns, public interviews or his investment career.
In one interview he told how his dad passed on his love of ‘Rangers’ while in another he explained how he’d sneak off to Ibrox despite his dad’s fierce opposition to him attending football matches.
More importantly prior to the company EGM in March 2015 he told shareholders that he had a NOMAD lined up, more than two years later no one in the City of London wants associated with his toxic reputation.
After being forced into signing a 12 month deal with Sports Direct King decided to slaughter Celtic’s achievements- today, unusually for a shameless liar, he has been forced to backtrack and explain comments he made in an in-house club interview.

Clear as day, asked about Celtic achieving 10-in-a-row, King said: “It’s only relevant if Rangers are playing, for the four years that Rangers were removed from the league, that was suspended, these four years disappeared.
“Celtic have got two in a row if you are being generous to them. They’ve got six titles but as far as Rangers supporters are concerned they’ve got two in a row. They’ll never get to ten-in-a-row, I think that there’s more chance of Rangers getting to ten-in-a-row than Celtic winning ten-in-a-row.”
As he tries to deny what he said two days ago it can only be guessed at what level of disaster is coming Sevco’s way with the chairman of the holding company sitting thousands of miles away as the stuff hits the fan.
