Sevco’s fake news

It seems that telling lies is contagious at Ibrox.

After the blast of lies from Dave King last week Stewart Robertson has told the gullibles that Pedro Caixinha has signed all his transfer targets despite two bids for Graham Dorrans and two for Jamie Walker being rejected by Norwich and Hearts.

No transfer fees have been paid to UK clubs with dubious figures released about a clutch of players drafted in from Mexico, Portugal and Columbia.

With no sign of outside investment these deals have been funded by season ticket holders as the company stumbles on without normal banking facilities and no one prepared to offer overdraft facilities.

Spreading the good news today Robbo told the club website: “We have been delighted with the signings so far, it has been a positive summer for us so far. Pedro had laid out his targets and spent a lot of time on it.

Dave said this recently but we had to pay compensation to bring Pedro in but the whole reason for that was to allow him to come in to assess the squad and allow him to develop a player plan for the coming season and beyond.

It’s great to say that we managed to get all of the targets he has asked for so far and there are another couple that we are still chasing and hopefully, touch wood, we can bring them in in due course as well.”

While the wage bill has been sent spiralling only Pip Senderos, Clint Hill and Joey Garner have left Ibrox.

Rather than try to get a transfer fee for unwanted players Caixinha’s decision to banish members of the best squad in Scotland to train with the youth side is an unlikely way of trying to squeeze some value from the squad.
