He didn’t find the net but Moussa Dembele played his part in Celtic’s 4-0 win over Linfield.

The French star replaced Leigh Griffiths in the starting XI as he continues his push towards match fitness.

There were a few chances snatched at and moves that broke down but plenty of signs that he is getting back to the explosive form that lit up the Celtic side last season.

Celtic will find out later today the outcome of the disciplinary charge that Griffiths faces from UEFA for typing a Celtic scarf to a post at Windsor Park.

A suspension is unlikely but is among the sanctions that UEFA can impose.

Griffiths missed last night’s match due to a calf injury but is expected to be fit to face Rosenborg.

Brendan Rodgers was pleased with his side’s display with midfielder Olivier Ntcham making his debut with a 67 minute appearance before being replaced by Stuart Armstrong.
