A new fans group Strip The Titles will be launched in Scotland determined to restore good governance to Scottish football.

The indifference of the SPFL and SFA and silence of most clubs to the recent Supreme Court ruling on Rangers (IL) has been the catalyst for the group which will host a media conference in Edinburgh this morning.

Since 2011 there has been a number of suspicious decisions from the football authorities that gives the impression that they are making the rules up as they move along.

The main area of contention is between the commercial side and fair play with rules being bent or broken to bring in the maximum commercial return.

The Supreme Court ruling confirmed that for over a decade Rangers (IL) fielded players paid through dual contracts with no income tax or national insurance paid on the secondary contract.

Other clubs have had 3-0 defeats awarded against them and been thrown out of cup competitions but with a club from Ibrox involved there appears no appetite to take appropriate action.

While Stewart Regan attempts to turn it into a Celtic v Rangers issue or muddy the waters with talk of a legal minefield the Strip the Titles campaign will focus on the governance failures and shine a torch on those responsible for the current state of the game.
