Aberdeen fans in terrace protest

Aberdeen fans took the protests against the SPFL and SFA to the terraces of Gayfield last night.

A low key friendly against Arbroath gave the Dons Supporters the first opportunity to go public with their anger at the ruling of the Supreme Court.

Wanted style banners were held up showing Neil Doncaster and Stewart Regan- the men who have gone the extra mile to pretend that 2012 was just a bad dream or financial hic-cup.

Arguably Aberdeen suffered more than any other club from the tax cheating years at Ibrox introduced by David Murray.

Until the late nineties Aberdeen were among the best of the rest but as they overstretched themselves financially austerity kicked in as they struggled to keep their head above water while paying HMRC in full.

Gloating Rangers (IL) fans turned up at Pittodrie to celebrate their superiority as they cheered on a team put on the park at the expense of Her Majesty.

The Aberdeen Supporters Trust put out a statement urging the football authorities to review the EBT years with further protests promised by the fans.

So far no club other than Celtic have commented on the Supreme Court ruling.
