Logan Bailly has signed a two year contract with Royal Mouscon.

The Belgian side completed the deal after the keeper had fallen to third choice at Celtic behind Craig Gordon and Dorus de Vries.

Bailly’s big chance at Celtic came last summer after Brendan Rodgers arrived but an injury picked up in Slovenia during pre-season training put paid to any hopes of becoming Rodgers’ first choice.

The new manager was initially unconvinced by Craig Gordon but after bringing de Vries in for five matches Gordon was restored to the side and signed a new improved contract in March despite interest from Chelsea.

Bailly’s departure coupled with Leo Fasan being out of contract opens the door slightly to Conor Hazard and Ross Doohan who were included in the first team squad that went to Austria and the Czech Republic earlier this month.

Both players have came through the ranks at Celtic and are highly rated by the goalkeeping coaches.

On Wednesday night a Celtic XI will play Elgin City in a testimonial for Mark Nicolson.
