Leo Fasan is hoping to win a contract with Kilmarnock.

According to a report in The Sun the goalkeeper has been training with the Ayrshire side.

Killie finished last season with on loan Newcastle keeper Freddie Woodman between the sticks with Jamie MacDonald as back up.

Lee McCulloch has been in touch with Newcastle about getting Woodman back to Rugby Park but has yet to get a decision.

Fasan spent seven years at Celtic without making a competitive appearance and finished last season on loan at Port Vale.

With no fresh offer from Celtic he can negotiate his own deal with the hoops having Colin McCabe, Ross Doohan and Conor Hazard as back up to Craig Gordon and Dorus de Vries.

If Fasan is offered a contract by Killie he’ll be reunited with former Celtic team-mates Stephen O’Donnell and Calum Waters who joined the club earlier this summer.

Down south former Celtic defender Darnell Fisher has moved to Championship side Preston North End after suffering relegation at Rotherham United.
