Barrie McKay’s value has crashed by more than £5m in six months.

According to a report in The Sun Sevco are holding out for £750,000 for the wing wonder who was valued at £6m in January when he was linked with RB Leipzig.

McKay has been banished to train with the Sevco u-20 squad as Pedro Caixinha puts his own squad together.

Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City are reported to be interested in the 22-year-old who is in the final year of his Ibrox contract.

Caixinha has been given total control of transfer policy with the players that he inherited from Mark Warbutrton discarded but still on the payroll.

With the start of the English Championship season more than a month away it’s unlikely that there will be any rush to meet the £750,000 asking price.

McKay has been named in the Sevco squad for the Europa League but was left out of the first leg against Progres Niederkorn and will stay at home for tomorrow’s second leg.
