Ibrox director James Blair has stepped up his crusade against the Daily Record.

Switching from his Company Secretary role at Sevco/The Rangers International Football Club to his Club 1872 he launched another attack on Paul Murray’s favourite newspaper over it’s coverage of the fall out from the SPFL whitewash.

As a partner in Anderson Strathern Blair really should know about liquidation, how to operate an EBT scheme and the authority of the Supreme Court.

If he is in any doubt he could contact former Rangers debenture holders or shareholders and find out that the company was the club.

Launching his latest fantasy aimed at the gullible and easily deluded he claims on the Club 1872 website: “It will not surprise anyone in the Rangers support to know that the IPSO complaint is for an article which appeared in the Daily Record newspaper. We would like to thank the Rangers community for the fantastic support we have had for our #ChangeTheRecord campaign.

We intend to continue this campaign into the new season and hope that more and more Rangers fans are becoming aware of the need for us to fight for fairer coverage for our football club.”

According to his page on the Anderson Strathern website Blair ‘is a partner in the corporate and commercial team. He specialises in the real estate sector and has particular expertise in structuring and financing real estate projects.

His impressive client list includes Woking Borough Council, for whom he acted in the £68m acquisition of the Wolsey Place Centre, a mixed retail, office and residential hub. He also represented the Moyallen Group in their £116m acquisition of the Peacocks Centre, and JP Morgan in their purchase of the Gallagher Retail Park, Dundee.

James’ international clients include Pro Invest, a property fund based in Abu Dhabi and headed up by Ron Barrott, former CEO of the Stannifer Group and ALDAR – one of the world’s leading property companies.

James is a former group counsel to the Stannifer Group and Chelsfield plc and a current member of the Property Finance Group of the Scottish Property Federation.”

Blair was appointed to the board at Ibrox by South African based criminal Dave King who has failed to respond to the Court of Session ruling that he must produce a prospectus offering every 20p for every share in the holding club vehicle.

Two years after joining the board as company secretary Blair has still been unable to find a NOMAD for the cash strapped company.

Blair is the only director remaining on the Club 1872 board with six others resigning since the elections in September 2016.
