Mark Warburton is lining up a £600,000 swoop for Wes Foderingham.

According to a report in The Sun the Nottingham Forest boss is looking for a new goalkeeper with the Sevco stopper his first choice, earlier this month Barrie McKay moved from Ibrox to the City Ground.

Foderingham probably wasn’t in the list of 14 players that Pedro Caixinha was looking to get rid of but with little interest in half a dozen players the prospect of bringing in some outside cash is bound to appeal.

In January Warbo signed Jak Alnwick from Port Vale giving Caixinha the option to call up an experienced keeper in Foderingham’s place.

Foderingham moved to Ibrox two years ago from Swindon Town and is under contract until 2019.

With Caixinha’s own signings on much more lucrative contracts compared to their longer serving contracts there are many rumours about unhappiness behind the scenes.

Foderingham played in both Europa League matches against Progres Niederkorn and twice lost five goals to Celtic last season.
