Celtic have been linked with a move for Odsonne Edouard.
According to a report in Le Parisien the Paris St Germain striker is in talks about a move to Celtic.
The 19-year-old spent last season on loan at Toulouse but only managed one goal in 16 appearances.
A season long loan move is mentioned in the report but it’s difficult to see the benefit to Celtic.
After Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths, 17-year Jack Aitchison is the next striker in line but Brendan Rodgers has indicated that it would be unfair to throw the teenager into first team football.
It would be asking a lot for Edouard to step into the first team especially with injury doubts over Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths.
Having a reliable back up striker for SPFL matches would allow Rodgers to use his strikers very selectively for the Champions League ties which start on September 12 against PSG.
