It’s the furthest trip possible in Europe, or should that be in UEFA competition, but Celtic won’t be without vocal backing tonight in Astana.
Around 100 supporters are expected to be in the Astana Arena to celebrate the hoops reaching the group phase of the Champions League for the second season running.
A few local Celtic fans are expected but with a 4,000 mile journey involved only the most dedicated fans have made the journey.

As the dedicated group of fans make their way home thousands will be hanging over their keyboards waiting on the outcome of Thursday’s group stage draw.
Almost unanimously avoiding Barcelona is the wish of every fan with feelings split on whether the glamour of Real Madrid is wanted.
Later tonight attention will switch to Croatian side Rijeka, if they can overcome a 2-1 lead held by Olympiakos from the first leg then Celtic will be promoted from Pot 4 into Pot 3.
