Conor McGregor has retweeted his approval of the Green Brigade’s UFC themed display before the Celtic v Astana Champions League Play Off.
The popular fans group were back in place after a three match stand off with the club following banners used in the win over Linfield.
There was nothing contentious about last night’s display as the hoops prepared to roll over their Kazak opponents.
The banner was inspired by a quote from McGregor in 2014 after a win over Diego Brandao when he said: “We’re not here to take part, we’re here to take over!”
Celtic certainly took over on the park by running up a brilliant 5-0 win which turns the return leg into a formality.
Scott Sinclair did most of the damage with two goals either side of half time with the first and last goals of the night taking crucial deflections off Astana players.
With their place in the group stage assured Celtic Park will host the three most eagerly anticipated matches of the autumn with BT Sport screening all matches live.
