Celtic team to face St Johnstone

Jozo Simunovic is missing from the Celtic side against St Johnstone today with Mikael Lustig drafted into central defence to partner Nir Bitton.

The former Dinamo Zagreb defender has been the subject of transfer speculation and missed the matches at Kilmarnock and Astana due to concerns over playing on plastic pitches.

St Johnstone have won their Premiership matches against Kilmarnock, Partick Thistle and Motherwell but lost out to Thistle in the League Cup.

Former Celtic youth team player Denny Johnstone could make his debut for the Perth side whose leading league scorer is on loan Sevco ace Micky O’Halloran.

Yesterday Pedro Caixinha was highly critical of the forward who has scored the same amount of goals as his team have managed in the SPFL this season.

CELTIC: Gordon; Ralston, Lustig, Bitton, Tierney; Ntcham, Brown; Forrest, Rogic, Sinclair, Griffiths
