It turned out to be nothing like the match that Gary Lineker was expecting.
The BT Sport host was gently winding up Chris Sutton in the studio ahead of Celtic’s expected procession into the group phase of the Champions League.
At half-time it looked done and dusted with Astana needing six second half goals to barge their way into Thursday’s draw.
Within five minutes of the second half the game was turned on it’s head as Celtic caved in losing two goals and giving the Kazakh champions every encouragement.

When 3-1 became 4-1 things got pretty twitchy for the watching Celtic fans while BT Sport suddenly had a compelling match on their hands.
There was no shots of the studio but it took until the 80th minute to kill off the prospect of the unthinkable when Olivier Ntcham saw another deflected shot go into the net.
After an unlikely Play Off thriller BT Sport can now look forward to six more instalments of Champions League magic involving the first British club to lift the big trophy.
