Hearts have thrown the SPFL fixture list into chaos by announcing that they are switching three home matches from Tynecastle to Murrayfield.

‘Home’ matches against Aberdeen, St Johnstone and Sevco have been switched to the home of Scottish Rugby with the club missing the September 9 deadline for the opening of a new stand by a mile.

While there is unlikely to be much impact on Celtic the whole balance of the fixture list is impacted with three clubs getting to play away matches at a neutral venue.

Motherwell and Kilmarnock have already agreed to switch fixtures with Hearts meaning that the Edinburgh side will start the season with four away matches.

Hearts owner Ann Budge has put the delay down to the wettest June and July in years plus the late delivery of seats from the far east.

The ‘home’ match with Sevco takes place on October 28 meaning that the first league match of the season at Tynecastle will be put back till November.

Celtic are scheduled to visit Tynecastle on December 16.
