Celtic are highly unlikely to unveil Patrick Roberts today.
A frenzy was whipped up by a tweet from the club’s Supporters Liaison Officer yesterday with some fans interpreting his message as a Brendan Rodgers type event to welcome the return of the winger from Manchester City!
Player signings have generally been low key events in recent seasons with nothing to match the arrivals of Robbie or Roy Keane.
Think a few people got ahead of themselves Kenny, genuinely no idea on any plans for today, any major announcements will come via @celticfc

Celtic are still in talks with Manchester City to sign Roberts on either a permanent or loan basis.
Roberts hasn’t been involved in any of City’s matches since returning from their pre-season trip to the USA.
Social media has been on stand-by for at least a month looking to read into any signals coming from either club or even the players brother Adam.
With no announcement likely today the saga looks like continuing through the final weekend of the transfer window with Celtic chief Peter Lawwell admitting on radio last night that he was hoping to complete two more transfer deals.
