Neil Lennon is facing Police and an SFA enquiry into his actions at Ibrox!

According to a report in the Daily Record that while thousands were singing anti-Irish abuse the man in the dug out will be at the centre of the enquiries into the match.

The Record reports: “Neil Lennon is on a collision course with the SFA and cops over his Ibrox goal celebration.

Police Scotland have launched a probe into the conduct of the Hibs boss after around 30 Rangers fans lodged complaints.

It’s understood senior officials also spoke with referee John Beaton at half-time of the powderkeg weekend fixture about the conduct of the Hibs bench.”

It seems that due to the volume of people involved that the Police and SFA have given up on trying to drag the Ibrox support into the 21st century.

After being almost silenced for five or six years ‘The Billy Boys’ can be heard at most matches along with other similar chants.

In April two supporters were caught on television making racist gestures at Scott Sinclair, one fan coming on to the park to confront Scott Brown and various missiles including a large sized battery being thrown at Celtic players.

The club, the SFA and SPFL refused to comment or raise charges on those incidents.

If the SFA decide to charge Lennon they may be opening up a particularly nasty can of worms.
