The long drawn out transfer of Patrick Roberts is nearing a conclusion.
Last Friday a number of different sources claimed that the deal had been completed but so far there has been little sign of a deal between Manchester City and Celtic.
Peter Lawwell’s appearance at the Etihad Stadium for the Manchester City v Everton match was greeted like white smoke from the Vatican but there has been little follow up.

With Celtic through to the group stage and hosting Paris St Germain in less than three weeks time it looks like another loan deal could finally be agreed.
Celtic have until 11pm on September 1 to register players with UEFA but will hopefully get the Roberts deal completed long before the 31 August transfer deadline.
South African defender Rivaldo Coetzee is also expected to be signed in time but requires to get a work permit to play in the UK.
