Patrick Roberts wants to enjoy another 5-1 derby day demolition.

Last season Celtic enjoyed two 5-1 victories over Sevco with Roberts playing a key role in the win at Ibrox in April.

Those games will never be forgotten by the Celtic fans and made a big impact on the kid on loan from Manchester City.

I know how people take it up here, and to score against Rangers you go down in the history books,” he told The Sun.

We did a lot last year with the 5-1 games, and they were special to the fans and to us. To repeat that would be immense, and it wouldn’t be too bad to nick a goal as well.”

Celtic travel to Ibrox on September 23 for the first derby of the season shortly before meeting Anderlecht in the Champions League.

Roberts hasn’t played a competitive match since the Scottish Cup Final win over Aberdeen in May but will have plenty of opportunities to play for Celtic.

September contains League Cup and Champions League fixtures as well as SPFL matches.

Roberts spent Tuesday training at Lennoxtown with Celtic’s non-internationalists but has a ten day wait before making his second ‘debut’ away to Hamilton next Friday as the hoops look to go back to the top of the SPFL.
