Unexpectedly last night Dunfermline decided to issue one of the messiest ever statements in which they went round the houses and dragged in a number of unrelated issues.
For some reason The Championship club decided to reveal dialogue that they’ve had with the SFA about issues in 2013.
Even more surprising than the Dunfermline statement was the Daily Record’s decision to get involved through award winning journalist Keith Jackson.
Within an hour the Developing Story was very much in the mainstream which must have been beyond the ambitions of the CQN team when they published.
There has been plenty of speculation around the Developing Story but at no point does it mention any football club or individual.
By issuing a statement and commenting on the matter to the Daily Record it will be very difficult now to hush things up and move on for the good of Scottish football.
