Chris Sutton has questioned the ambitions of Jason Denayer as the defender flew out to complete a season long loan deal with Galatasaray.
The extent of Celtic’s interest isn’t known but with a new central defender a priority for Brendan Rodgers there has been speculation that the hoops were keen on the Belgian internationalist.

Denayer spent the 2014/15 season with Celtic and picked up the Young Player of the Year Award.
Further loans with Galatasaray and Sunderland haven’t developed his game at the same rate as he enjoyed with Celtic where he played alongside Virgil van Dijk in a side that won the SPFL and the League Cup.
Denayer is under contract with Manchester City until 2020 but has little prospect of making the breakthrough at the Etihad where £30m defenders are regularly brought in.
Celtic have until midnight tomorrow to complete any transfer deals with their Champions League opener with Paris St Germain less than a fortnight away.
