Celtic sent Chris Sutton through a range of emotions as he watched his old club reach the group phase of the Champions League in the company of Gary Lineker.

It should have been a routine appearance in the BT Sport studio as the hoops enjoyed the benefit of a 5-0 first leg lead.

When a deflection off Kristoffer Ajer flew into the net Celtic responded with a trademark strike from Scott Sinclair that sent the teams in level at the interval.

In the BT Sport studio it was still very relaxed but the events of the second half, especially the first five minutes, came as a shock to the system.

After the final whistle with a group place secured Sutton was relaxed and back to his best with opinions on most aspects of the display.

Over the next week Brendan Rodgers has access to £30m to strengthen his side with central defence likely to be a priority after that second half in Kazakhstan.
