Celtic are the highest ranked Scottish club sitting in 64th place in the latest UEFA Co-efficient table and are set to move up higher by qualifying for the group phase of this season’s Champions League.

UEFA are set to announce major changes to the Champions League next month that are likely to involve four qualifying rounds for the Scottish champions with the number of places for the Champions route reduced from five to four.

With the champions of Switzerland and Holland moving into this category Celtic need a strong showing in this season’s competition to maintain their current status as a seeded side in the Play Off round.

The co-efficient consists of performances over the last five seasons with Celtic’s highly successful 2012/13 season when they reached the last 16 of the Champions League dropping off their record.

Sevco are the 308th ranked team in the latest table.

After their first ever disastrous venture into Europe the Ibrox side have the Scottish national co-efficient to thank for propping up their rating.

Sevco find themselves trailing behind Inverness Caley Thistle in 295th place, Hibs in 270th and Motherwell in 247th position.
