Chris Sutton was left as baffled as everyone else watching Bobby Madley referee last night’s Manchester City v Everton clash.
Even out in Kazakhstan the former Celtic striker was able to tune in to the action from the Etihad as the referee dominated proceedings with two red cards handed out as the teams shared the points.
Sutton has had plenty to criticise Scottish referees over with Craig Thomson taking the huff a year ago and kicking a match off early without telling BT Sport after being criticised by Sutton.
Terrible refereeing…..

Tough to call which country has the most incompetent refs…

At half time during the City match Pep Guardiola was seen in a very heated discussion with fourth official Michael Oliver about the red card given to Kyle Walker.
Sutton will be hoping for a higher standard of refereeing at today’s Astana v Celtic match before he turns his attention to the weekend domestic action.
The Ross County v Sevco match will be critical to Pedro Caixinha with Sutton ringside to give his verdict on the fifth best coach in Qatar.
