With less than a fortnight to go until the new English Premier League campaign gets underway Joe Ledley is still without a club.
The former Celtic midfielder has certainly not been forgotten about but after his Crystal Palace contract expired he’s not rushing into signing elsewhere.
Ledley made 13 Premier League starts for Crystal Palace last season where Sam Allardyce replaced Alan Pardew in mid-season before stepping down to be replaced by Ronald de Boer.
At 30 years of age Ledley has at least one more contract at the top level to enjoy despite the emotional pull of Cardiff City fans who would warmly welcome him back despite the anger created by his move to Celtic seven years ago.
@CardiffCityFC , When’s joe Ledley signing then ?

Your telling me Lambert, Whittingham and Emyr Huws off the wage books and potentially noone aswell and we still can’t sign Joe Ledley…

Very surprised that Joe Ledley hasn’t signed for a new club yet. Would do a decent job for most Championship teams as a CDM #dcfc #cpfc

Ledley’s career has never been predictable with Celtic taking advantage of UEFA border rules to take him to Glasgow when Stoke City were looking at a £3m fee.
With no sign of him signing a new contract with Celtic he joined Crrystal Palace in January 2014 for £700,000 with just a couple of months left on his contract.
So far he has rejected offers to play in China and Turkey- with a World Cup qualifying campaign to be completed Chris Coleman will be keen for the midfielder to get fixed up with a club as soon as possible.
