Like many other Marcel Desailly couldn’t help but get gathered away by the atmosphere at Celtic Park.
The French legend graced some of the biggest stages in the game in a career that was centred around Chelsea and AC Milan but failed to include a spell in the glorious hoops.

On media duty last night the occasion got through to the 49-year-old as he cheerfully sang You’ll Never Walk Alone with over 50,000 backing singers.
Desailly was a key player in the French side that won the World Cup in 1998 where his forceful midfield play made him a national hero alongside Zinedine Zidane.
Last night however he was just another fan swept away by the atmosphere as the fans prepared for the players to enter the pitch.
The excitement lasted 19 minutes before the visitors opened the scoring, there were some bursts if defiance from the home side and supporters but there weren’t many who could argue with the final scoreline.
